More than 11,000 people live and work in and near the Guatemala City Dump, and nearly 6,500 of them are children. Even by other Guatemalans, they are treated as little better than the garbage that shapes their existence, which in turn leads them to believe they are the refuse of the world.
Potter’s House Association is a Christian non-profit organization that exists to change the living situation for these thousands of people who live and work in the Guatemala City Dump – because they are human beings, beloved children of the one true God, worthy of respect and dignity.
To provide holistic opportunities for scavenger families by equipping them to be able to develop and transform their lives, families, and community.
There are many ways to make a donation to Potter’s House – through general support, the child sponsorship program or their online gift catalog, which allows you to choose items of needs that Potter’s House has.
Much of the work of Potter’s House is done by volunteers and short-term missions groups. It is one of the easiest ways for partners to experience first-hand the impact of their partnership with the Treasure. Click to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
You can join the Potter’s House staff in praying for the needs of the Treasures and praising Him for His faithful provision. A full list of prayer needs can be found here.
Keep up with Potter’s House!
