Not going to lie. The Dinka language is tricky. Once you figure out which of the five dialects you’re learning, you have to get your pronunciation perfect. The word tɕìt̪, with just a slightly different emphasis, means “diarrhea,” “go ahead,” “scorpions” and “to swallow.” No way that could lead to problems, right?
