The Center for Global Impact is one ministry with five distinct projects. Take a look at how this amazing ministry is changing the world one life at a time!
Center for Global Impact
Founded in 2008, their mission is to “connect people to people through projects that empower to poor and open a door for the Gospel.” In Cambodia, that means creating holistic programs that address the injustice of poverty and the evils of sex slavery.
The women in this program produce an entire line of quality totes, scarves, and purses that are sold in the US, making the project as self-sufficient as possible. Training mothers to sew and providing them with a sustainable wage not only helps them, but also protects and uplifts their entire family.
The Green Mango
A culinary training center, bakery and working restaurant. Here, at risk and formerly trafficked girls are given job skills and experience that will empower them economically.
Formerly called The Daughters Project, this is an intensive development program for at-risk or formerly trafficked girls and their families. Through a dressmaking program and one-on-one mentoring, the girls are given job skills, life lessons, a spiritual foundation, and relationships to last a lifetime.
“Kids helping kids” – by connecting American kids to the needs of their Cambodian peers, everyone benefits. Around the world, empowerment programs get much needed support. In America, a new generation is raised with a greater understanding, a heart for the least of these, and the knowledge that no matter what their skills or passions, they can help.
Kien Svay Kids
A brand new community-based outreach program embodying Christ’s love for “the least of these,” Kien Svay Kids goes to schools and specifically seeks out the lowest performing children who have been held back by poverty and community distress. By coming alongside them and their families, CGI provides the resources they need to succeed and to use their God-given talents to transform their community.
