World Next Door is currently searching for volunteers interested in joining the following positions:
Summer Office Cleaner/Lawn Mower (1-2 hours/week, seasonal) – Ok, there is not a whole lot of glamor in this volunteer position, but we definitely have a need. Since our summer interns and the majority of our staff are in South Africa for June and July, we need someone (or a team of people) who can dust/clean our Indianapolis office and mow the lawn a few times while we are gone.- Kiosk Team (2-3 hours/month) – One of the ways we spread the word about World Next Door is to set up kiosks at churches, conferences and other events. We need volunteers to help us pass out flyers, answer questions and get people signed up to receive more information. Good with people? Know how to smile? This might be perfect for you!
- Travel Agent (1 hour/week) – We need a travel agent to help us book flights, plan trips and make the most of our frequent flyer miles!
- Grant Seeking Team (2-3 hours per week): Volunteers for this team should be motivated, energetic and experienced in writing grant applications. They should also be prepared to creatively explore grant opportunities outside of normal avenues.
All World Next Door volunteers must be willing to check their email at least once a day to ensure swift communication with traveling journalists.
