What an incredible trip this has been.  In just six days we have secured 14 of the 25 sponsors we are hoping for!  Just a few more to go before we meet our goal!

In the meantime, I would like for you to meet Chené, the child I’ve begun sponsoring through Nehemiah Vision Ministries.  Although he is a bit shy on camera, he is one of the sweetest little six year old boys I’ve ever met!

Little Chené, who will now begin school in the fall!

Although this episode is shorter than usual, my hope is that it once again gives you a glimpse into what life is really like in the World Next Door…

Episode 9 Footnotes

  • As I mentioned in the video, Kacie Davis is holding the camera.  You can meet her and Aubree Dell in the first episode of WND Uncut by clicking here.
  • Yes, that is a baby goat in the background.  Dawwwww…. :)
  • Sorry for getting so distracted around 1:20. Kids were all over the place and it was a bit tough staying focused!
  • Check out the Next Steps below to see how easy it is to sponsor a child with NVM!
  • Tune in next time for Episode 10, in that episode we’ll be reporting from Jerusalem!

Next Steps
    • Visit the child sponsorships page of Nehemiah Vision Ministries to meet many of the children still waiting for sponsors.
    • If $40 a month is too much for you, consider how you can branch out and get others into the game. Perhaps your small group can sponsor a child together. Maybe your coworkers would be interested in getting involved. Get creative!
    • Please tell others about NVM’s sponsorship program. The more sponsors we have, the more lives we can change!
    • Pray that we reach (and exceed!) our goal of 25 new sponsors for NVM. Pray for courage as some new sponsors make the difficult leap into giving sacrificially.

Barry, it is so cool to see this. On the one hand I had this big smile on my face thinking of the opportunity that Chene now has, and how his life will be forever changed.

On the other hand I had a twinge of sadness for the other children who wait.

I know what the dream of a little boy to become a doctor feels like…. God has put that dream/reality within Chene’s grasp.

The Kingdom Life involves each one of us pouring our life into others, God does the rest, He fills in the paragraphs of the story.

The big picture view of your forty bucks might be realized 25 years from now when Chene is tending to the sick in Haiti.

Our wildest imagination will still fall short of seeing clearly how this will play out.

I pray your readers will feel compelled to follow your lead.

    So cute.

    I loved the video. :)

Each one of those children is so precious to Him, and He has a beautiful purpose for each of them- so amazing how each person, like you, who sponsored them, will get to be a part of that.

Having just been there in Chambrun of course my heart longs to be with those kids again. But I am so excited to sponsor (along with my wife Penny) little TiBlan. 6 yrs old who will begin school soon. Thanks WND and NVM for allowing us the chance to join God in what he is doing!
