Well, our articles, photo galleries, travel journals and culture guides from the summer are coming to an end.  The interns are preparing themselves for the next stage in their lives, and I am preparing for the next couple of trips I’ll be taking for WND.

I figure that right now is a great time to extend an invitation to you.  Will you join our team?

There are currently three ways for you to get involved:  by applying to become our next Full Time Journalist, by joining our volunteer team or by signing up for more info about our 2011 Summer Internship… If any of those sound interesting, read on!

Job Opportunity

We are super excited to announce our next staff position.  We are now accepting resumes for a Full-Time Journalist.  The job will be awesome.  Travelling around the world, writing, learning…  Of course, be sure to check out the job description.  There’s quite a bit of administration and fundraising involved too!

Also, if there is someone in your life that you think would be perfect for this job, don’t hesitate to send them our way!  If you have any questions, please send them to info@worldnextdoor.org.

Take a look at our volunteer page to see if there is a place for you to utilize your skills, gifts and abilities to further the mission of World Next Door.  We are always looking for more talented and passionate individuals to join the team!

2011 Summer Internship

Obviously, with the 2010 internship just now coming to a close, we don’t yet have many specific details about next year’s internship.  However, we are planning on heading back to Nairobi, Kenya with the team.

If you have any interest in hearing more details as they develop, please give us your information at the bottom of our internships page.

That’s it for now.  Stay tuned this week as we post our trip recaps from the summer.  It’s a great way to catch up on the awesome articles you may have missed!

Have a great August!
