- Interested in volunteering with The Relief Bus? Check out www.reliefbus.org/volunteer for more information.
- If World Next Door were to host a weekend trip with the Relief Bus (with me as your guide and trip leader), would you be interested in coming along? Email barry@worldnextdoor.org to let me know!
- If you happen to live on the north side of Indianapolis, there are many teams from Grace Community Church heading out to serve with the Relief Bus. You could be a part of one! Email Steve Buczkowski for more information (click here).

Thanks Barry for a fascinating, and compelling look at the Relief Bus, The Bowery Mission, Homelessness, the love of Christ poured out through others in the form of little cups of soup, and the people places and things that are all a part of NYC (and really any city USA) that we so rarely see. Thank you for helping us see, and feel and care and hopefully act. Thanks for the gentle invitation to have the courage to live into our faith with action. I was reading in James last night, and then this morning when I got up and saw these photos I was reminded of James 1 :14-17. Particularly James 1: 17.
You are never the same after having just one of the experiences you have described. The term wrecked intimidates some, so I will use the term molded…you become molded, changed from the inside.
Thank you again for this series.
