The two photos inside the chapel struck me most of all.

The lone figure leaning against the back of a pew…depicting the lost feeling of desperation, contrasted with the view from the loft, a community of men transformed….the joy of Home..of Belonging, of renewed self worth. Abe Lincoln wrote “It is difficult for a man to be miserable while he feels worthy of himself, and claims kindred to the great God who made him” These stories of the Bowery Mission are a reminder of God’s heart for the lost, and his great Power to heal. Thanks once again Barry.
