The old man in this post and the baby in the pink in your photo gallery are up there with my all-time favorites. Each are just as cute as the other, aren't they?!

I keep waiting for you to wrap it up neatly at the end of your entry. i want you to fast forward and tell me that the hospital has been built, homes have been built and new communities formed. I want it to be now! But then remind myself this is not a movie or a 3 minute story I see on CNN, this is the horrific reality for thousands of people.
Why them? Why not me? I sit snug and warm in my house made of bricks tonight. My puppy just had his vaccinations today. He doesn't have to worry where his next meal is coming from (my dog, not my child!). My 5 year old has a fever and a cough. After taking bubblegum-flavored medicine, she only wants to sit on my lap and snuggle. Why is she the "privileged" one?

sorry for rambling....I just want to scream in frustration. I want to be there, grab a shovel and start doing something to help.

I can't imagine how things would be impacted by a simple rain, let alone strong wind.
