Beautiful pictures, Barry! I love seeing kids involved in breaking down systems of injustice. It's so inspiring, and I think it would really connect with the GKC kids when you teach in January.

Sharon, this particular reforestation effort was through an organization called EcoClub, which was working with the OPS (Pan-American Health organization... affiliated with WHO).

Barry, "Greed" or Ignorance and selfishness, which do you think was the cause for others to de-forest the land. Someone took the forest to "take care of themselves", wonder if they understood the consequences of their actions or if they simply thought the forest will take care of itself. Look at God working through the people you were with "taking care of the flock"...reclaiming Gods creation...Awesome to ponder. At times when we are looking at things from the ground zero view we are so appalled that we miss what we might otherwise see, occasionally the 30,000 foot view gives us a different perspective. I enjoy reading WND and asking myself...where is God's hand in that story, or those images...what were they (the authors) looking at. Thanks for the stories and the images!

All right, just being honest...did I ever consider de-forestation as an issue of injustice? Nope.

Will now.

Great pictures, as usual, Barry! Love the kids' expressions.

Is this reforestation through a particular organization? I know Plant With Purpose (an intiative of Floresta) does this type of work in various locations.
