Thank you for spending these weeks in Kibera. What you have said about the fact that no one stays there at night to see the depth of what they experience is so true. You are doing it. For me, this is the “picture” I have wondered about. What is it like in places like this AFTER I leave… we (westerners in particular) leave having met people, worked with a clinic, etc… So having been there with you to see Kibera and now have you sharing the experience of Kibera is a gift into the heart of God to know more of what He sees day in and day out, what His heart beats about in care for the forgotten and oft-ignored. Thank you.

Man! You’re photography skills are getting really good! I love pictures 2 & 4. Beautiful colors.

I can’t imagine what it’s like with the smell of burning trash all the time and what it must do to their already fragile health.

Amazing photography. I could almost smell it! 2 Samuel 22:29 (NASB): “For You are my lamp, O LORD; And the LORD illumines my darkness.” Praying for you all. Praising God for the lamp you are to these people, and for the way your words and imagery are illuminating the hearts of people here at home.
